Welcome into my home and heart! Here I share and style my latest finds to help you feel chic, comfortable and confident.
Can I help you find something, friend?
My husband and I recently embarked on an 11-day trip to the Grand Canyon, Page/AZ, Zion, and Sedona – with our two boys (ages 5 and 7) in tow! I am so excited to share our full itinerary with you in case you want to plan a similar trip. My husband and I planned this on our own and used a lot of your suggestions to help us figure out where to stay and what to do. 🙂

Day 3: Page, Arizona
We drove 2.5 hours to Page, Arizona for the next stop on our trip. On the drive in, we stopped at a restaurant called Sunset 89, overlooking Lake Powell. I got the tofu and rice/veggie bowl and it was delicious! We stayed at the Hyatt Place in Lake Powell and enjoyed the pool and the view!
Day 4: Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend
Here’s what I wore on the fourth day.
Antelope Canyon
On the fourth day, we went on a tour of upper Antelope Canyon with Tsé Bíghanílíní Tours. It was incredible being on Navajo land and walking through the Canyon – our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and helped us get great pictures too! It was 90 minutes and very sweet and to-the-point for the kids! Truly a magical experience!
Horseshoe Bend
Then, we headed over to Horseshoe Bend for a 1.5 mile round trip hike – there are a couple of shaded spots along the way to sit and restrooms when you park.
Horseshoe Bend is a great 1 hour activity and wasn’t very crowded either – the walkways can fit a stroller and there is plenty of space to walk (very kid-friendly). We stopped at Desert Nutrition for some vegan-friendly smoothies and then made the 2 hour drive to Zion.
Check out the breathtaking view!
The drive into Zion National Park is GORGEOUS! I thought the Grand Canyon was impressive but Zion blew my expectations out of the park! We checked into the Springhill Suites in Zion because our vacation rental home wasn’t available the first day. Our room was humongous and property is beautiful – I would have been comfortable staying here the entire time if we didn’t have another place already booked.
Day 5: Canyon Overlook Trail
Here’s what I wore on the fifth day.
We grabbed coffee and breakfast at Deep Creek Coffee and this place is a MUST! It has so many vegan-friendly food and drink options and is some of the best coffee I have ever had!
After, we decided to do the Canyon Overlook Trail, which is right before the long tunnel in Zion. It’s a 1 mile roundtrip with breathtaking views! There are portions of the hike that have railings and other parts did not. We just kept our kids alongside the wall and helped guide them through the areas that did not have a railing.
There is also a cool cave/shaded spot to stop for water and snacks on the walk up! We stopped at Oscar’s Cafe for a late lunch. I got the sweet potato burrito and there were other vegan-friendly options, too.
Check out the view at the top of the trail!
That night we checked into our vacation home rental and were so excited to spend a few days in one space! Our rental had 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom + a kitchen + family room and washer/dryer. There are bigger properties as well if you need more space. I was so impressed with our unit and would 100% recommend!
For dinner, we walked next door to one of our favorite restaurants we ate at during our stay, Bit & Spur. We loved the shaded outdoor seating with water misting to keep you cool + the huge yard for the kids to run around and play! There are lots of vegan options (my favorite is the cauliflower tacos), too!
Day 6: The Narrows in Zion National Park
Here’s what I wore on the sixth day.
We woke up early to embark on The Narrows. I was a little nervous to do this with the kids (I’m not going to lie) but I am SO glad we did this!! We parked at Zion Outfitters at 6:30 a.m. and were one of the first in line to rent gear at 7 a.m. There is free parking nearby but we just paid to park since we got a good spot and it was our first time doing this.
The employees were SO helpful! We ended up renting canyoneering boots, neoprene socks, waterproof backpack for snacks/water bottles and a hiking stick. I highly recommend doing this because the water is COLD and the socks/boots kept us comfortable /warm + provided great grip while wet. I also highly recommend the walking stick because of the water current!
After we got our gear, we walked around the corner to the Zion Shuttle Bus. It’s about a 40 minute ride on the shuttle to the last stop, the Temple of Sinawava. This is where you get off to access The Narrows. From here, you walk 1 mile to the Narrow entrance. The walk was very easy + had breathtaking views all around you! We had the kids wear their swimsuits with long-sleeve swim shirts and packed dry clothes for when we got out.
My husband and I wore quick-dry activewear. I wasn’t sure if we would even be able to get in the water because of the depth but we ended up walking about a half-mile up (my husband had to carry our 5-year-old in some spots) and then turned around and went back once it got too deep.
We saw tons of families, including little kids in hiking carriers. It is totally doable with young kids as long as weather conditions are good and there isn’t any rain in the forecast. Zion Outfitters has a flood danger map that is updated every day so you know the weather conditions beforehand.
Zion was such a magical experience I will never forget!
For dinner, we stopped at Wild Thyme Cafe at Trees Ranch and sat outside in the shade. I had the tofu curry and there were other vegan options on the menu, too! Delicious food and gorgeous views!
Here’s what I wore to dinner. 😉
Day 7: Bryce Canyon
We decided to do a day trip to Bryce Canyon, which is about 1 hour 45 minutes from Zion. We booked a 3-hour tour through Bryce Canyon Scenic Tours and it was long enough to see everything we wanted to see!
