Welcome into my home and heart! Here I share and style my latest finds to help you feel chic, comfortable and confident.
Can I help you find something, friend?
My husband and I recently embarked on an 11-day trip to the Grand Canyon, Page/AZ, Zion, and Sedona – with our two boys (ages 5 and 7) in tow! I am so excited to share our full itinerary with you in case you want to plan a similar trip. My husband and I planned this on our own and used a lot of your suggestions to help us figure out where to stay and what to do. 🙂
Read the Part 1 blog post here and Part 2 here.
Day 8
We stopped at Deep Creek Coffee again for coffee and breakfast on our way out of Zion and made the 5 hour drive to Sedona. I got the PB & banana toast on GF bread and it was SO GOOD!
This was a long drive for us but there were plenty of gas stations/rest stops along the way! We arrived to Sedona around 4 p.m. and checked into Enchantment Resort. This place has glowing reviews online and I could immediately see why! It is tucked away from the downtown area and very peaceful and serene.
We made reservations at Tii Gavo for dinner and sat outside. The views were breathtaking and the tofu dish was delicious!
Day 9
Here’s what I wore on the ninth day.
We got up early and had breakfast at the resort. There is a Starbucks-type cafe on property with delicious coffees and breakfast items! Then, we drove into town for our 9 a.m. Pink Jeep Tour. This was one of the top recommended activities from you on my Instagram and I knew we had to do it!
We chose the ‘Broken Arrow’ tour, which is 2 hours long. The kids LOVED seeing the red-rock formations and driving through the rugged desert terrain. Our guide was wonderful and snapped so many pictures for us, too!
There are longer tours as well but the 2-hour was perfect for us with the kids. We popped over the the Local Juicery for lunch and I was in heaven! We enjoyed organic + plant-based smoothies + a breakfast bowl. Highly recommended stopping here for plant-based goodness!
After, we went on a short hiking trail behind the resort. There are several trailheads you can access from Enchantment + a Trail House with guides who will help you plan the perfect hike based on what you’re looking for. For dinner, we dined at Tii Gavo again because it was convenient at the food is delicious!
Day 10
Here’s what I wore on the tenth day.
We had breakfast at the resort and then dropped the kids off at Camp Coyote – a kids camp on the resort propery. My husband and I wanted to go on a hike and by that point, our kids were hiked-out. After we dropped them off, we stopped at the Trail Head and spoke with one of the guides. We decided to do the Boyton Vista Trail and some of the Mescal Mountain Trail, which are accessible from the front of the resort. The views are incredible!
We did just over 5 miles before picking up the kids and hopping in the car to drive to Phoenix! We had an EARLY flight the next day and ended up staying at the Aloft hotel, which is very close to the airport.
Overall, I am so happy with how our trip turned out! We sort of went in blind and were unfamiliar with the areas we visited, but super impressed with the places we went to! We kept our expectations *low* with the kids and decided that as long as we were safe and together, everything else could be worked out. We took lots of breaks when they needed it and took advantage of the pools when we could. I think they are at a great age to do a trip like this but we also saw families with much younger kids doing the same kinds of activities.
